The Seven Elements of Digital Storytelling

I found a really interesting article on the internet, The Seven Elements of Digital Storytelling, when I searched Digital Storytelling. This article is a straight forward design of how one’s Digital Storyboard should be.
If I were to teach Digital Storytelling to older, stage 3 classes, I would incorporate this method of instruction into my teaching approach. It is simple and easy to use, with an easy layout that describes what is important to incorporate into the Digital Storyboard.

1. Point of View –> An underlying theme, lives on beyond the story itself

2. Dramatic Question –> Does the guy get the girl?

3. Emotional Content –> Add depth and meaning, connect with others through the addition of emotion

4. The Gift of Your Voice –> It’s you, and it makes your story…

5. The Power of the Soundtrack –> Another opportunity to connect emotionally

6. Economy –> Can you illustrate and tell your story efficiently?

7. Pacing –> Having rythm to sustain interest
